Jobs Description

• Certification or formal training in welding technology or a related field.

• Proven experience operating fully automatic welding equipment, preferably in pipeline construction or fabrication projects.

• Proficiency in interpreting welding procedures, blueprints, and technical specifications. Knowledge of welding processes, including gas metal arc welding (GMAW) and flux-cored arc welding (FCAW).

• Familiarity with welding codes and standards, such as ASME, API, and AWS.

• Set up welding parameters, including voltage, current, travel speed, and wire feed rate, according to project specifications and welding procedures.

• Conduct pre-weld inspections to ensure that materials are clean, properly aligned, and free from defects or contaminants. Monitor welding processes and make adjustments as necessary to maintain optimal weld quality and productivity.

• Perform visual and non-destructive testing (NDT) of welded joints to verify compliance with welding standards and project requirements.
